I worked for FABCO Equipment in Madison, WI for 6 years. FABCO is now called FABICK Cat. FABCO had 22 locations throughout Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. I was the only Graphic Designer in the Marketing and Communications department for the entire company. This was great because it allowed me to do design for everything. The year we did this Skid Steer Loader campaign, it was toward the end of the year and we had some extra budget money left over. So I designed a campaign with some extra cool stuff in it.
The Main sales brochure was designed and printed using 6 colors and 2 varnishes. 4 Color process: cyan, magenta, yellow, and black, along with 2 PMS colors: orange and yellow, and a gloss and dull varnish. We used stochastic printing for the brochure mailers and the direct mail piece, everything else was printed traditionally.
We mailed out the sales brochure 2 different times, one at the beginning of the campaign and one more time at the end, with different messages on the envelopes. We also printed several other flyers for the sales team to use and a direct mail postcard. Of course, we had ads to go with this campaign as well.
Overall the sales campaign was a huge success and it was an extremely fun project to design. The press check was exciting as well.
